1 large head of green cabbage
3 tablespoons of olive oil
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and cut the head into 1-inch thick slices.
On a baking sheet, lay down the cabbage steaks and brush both sides with olive oil. Sprinkle the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes evenly on top.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast for about 20-25 minutes. Flip them halfway through to achieve an even roast.
Once the cabbage has blistered beautifully, take it out of the oven and sprinkle the Parmesan generously over the hot cabbage. Return to the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
