Description

Indulge in a quick Garlic Butter Shrimp bowl packed with flavor. Perfect for a satisfying meal any day. Enjoy shrimp & rice in under 30 mins!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of jasmine rice
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

  • Instructions

  • Start by rinsing the jasmine rice under cold water to remove excess starch. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Make sure not to burn the garlic as it can turn bitter.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Cook until the shrimp turns pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Gently stir to coat the shrimp in the garlic butter.
  • Once the shrimp is fully cooked, add the cooked rice to the skillet. Toss everything together for a couple of minutes, enhancing the flavors. Take your time to ensure the rice is well-coated in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Finish by garnishing with freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot, and savor the delight of a well-balanced meal that's both comforting and elegant!
